Not every project needs more: introducing OCTO LITE

Not every lighting system is built to scale endlessly. Many are built to deliver a specific result – cleanly, efficiently, and without unnecessary complexity.

OCTO LITE is designed for exactly that kind of project.

Rather than adding more universes, more features, and more cost, it focuses on delivering the level of pixel control that many smaller installations actually require, with the reliability, flexibility and performance that the OCTO range is known for.

Whether you’re working on architectural accents, retail spaces or compact feature lighting, OCTO LITE gives you a straightforward, professional solution that fits the job without over-specifying the system.

In practice, that means designing systems with intent rather than excess. Instead of defaulting to higher-spec hardware “just in case”, OCTO LITE encourages a more considered approach by giving you the level of control a project requires, and nothing unnecessary beyond it. The result is cleaner system architecture, easier installation, and a more efficient use of both budget and hardware across the entire build.

At its core, OCTO LITE is built on the same proven platform as the wider OCTO family, supporting Art-Net, sACN and ESP protocols for seamless integration into modern lighting networks.

It delivers up to 8 universes of SPI pixel control, supporting both clocked and non-clocked protocols, with custom protocol creation available when required. This ensures compatibility across a wide range of LED pixel fixtures without the need for additional development.

Designed with installation in mind, OCTO LITE features a wide 5–60V DC input range, allowing it to be powered directly from the same supply as your LED pixels. Dual Ethernet ports enable simple daisy-chaining, reducing infrastructure complexity and speeding up deployment.

The result is a controller that does exactly what you need – no more, no less – while maintaining the performance and reliability expected from a professional lighting system.

In a nutshell:

Product: OCTO LITE (SKU 71523)
Type: eDMX to SPI pixel controller
Protocols: Art-Net, sACN, ESP
Form factor: 4-module DIN rail
Power input: 5–60V DC

Key capabilities:

• 8 universes of eDMX to SPI conversion
• Dual output ports (4 universes per port)
• Supports clocked & non-clocked protocols
• Custom protocol creation available
• Dual Ethernet ports for daisy-chaining
• Identify / Reset button for fast commissioning

From initial setup through to final commissioning, OCTO LITE is designed to simplify installation at every stage.

Its compact form factor makes it ideal for space-constrained environments, while its flexible power options reduce the need for additional components. Integrators can deploy systems faster, with fewer points of failure and less time spent on configuration.

With built-in network discovery and a straightforward web interface, devices can be configured, monitored and updated quickly on-site. Multiple units can be deployed across a network with minimal effort, making OCTO LITE a practical choice for both single installations and distributed systems.

Designed for real-world installations

In real-world projects, efficiency matters just as much as performance.

Not every installation requires high universe counts or advanced standalone features. In many cases, specifying oversized hardware adds unnecessary cost and complexity without improving the outcome.

OCTO LITE addresses this directly by providing a right-sized solution for smaller systems, allowing integrators to match hardware capability to project requirements more precisely.

This makes it particularly well suited to retail environments, architectural accents, signage and feature lighting, where reliability and clean installation are key.

A smarter addition to the OCTO family

OCTO LITE expands the OCTO ecosystem by introducing a more accessible entry point for pixel control.

Positioned alongside the OCTO Mk2 and OCTO Mk3, it offers a streamlined option for projects that don’t require higher universe counts or advanced feature sets, while maintaining full compatibility within the same system architecture.
For growing installations, it also provides a clear upgrade path, allowing users to scale from LITE to Mk2 or Mk3 as project demands increase.

Together, the OCTO range now offers a complete spectrum of solutions, from compact efficiency through to high-capacity control, ensuring there is a right-fit option for every installation.
