SM16716 Pixel Protocol
A clocked, individually addressable RGB(W) LED protocol with an improved IC design, featuring a dedicated clock line for faster refresh rates and higher PWM frequency.
Overview
SM16716 operates at 5V input and can drive pixels at 5–24V, supports 8-bit color resolution, and achieves a PWM rate up to 2500Hz, making it suitable for camera-friendly applications up to 84fps. The SOP16 package allows flexibility in LED choice, and the protocol’s clocked nature ensures robust, high-speed data transmission and improved visual performance.
