Lines That Lead the Night

ENTTEC partnered with BMTC to deliver a vibrant façade lighting solution for the Dubai Holding Headquarters. Powered by our Pixelator Mini, S-Play SP1, and IP PLink Injectors, the new Neon Flex lights transform what were once fixed-state light tubes into a fully pixel-controlled lighting system. The result is a bold, synchronized lighting display, turning the building into a striking nighttime landmark along Umm Suqeim Road.

Set against the iconic silhouette of the Burj Al Arab, the Dubai Holding Headquarters stands as a symbol of ambition and innovation. Since relocating from Emirates Towers in 2017, this government-owned campus has embraced sustainable design and employee-centric spaces—and now, its façade tells a new story through light.

Working closely with BMTC, the project began with a clear objective: upgrade the building’s static lighting system to something more dynamic and expressive.

The original single-color installation had served its purpose, but Dubai Holding envisioned a sophisticated solution that could adapt to celebrations, reflect corporate milestones, and embody their innovative spirit through programmable displays.

ENTTEC delivered a comprehensive pixel-controlled solution that brings this vision to life. 10 Pixelator Mini units orchestrate the complex pixel mapping across the building’s extensive horizontal façade, while 6 S-Play SP1 units ensure smooth, reliable playback of lighting sequences. IP PLink Injectors maintain stable power and data distribution throughout the system—essential for consistent outdoor performance in Dubai’s demanding climate.

The building’s unique architecture presented interesting technical challenges. Finding optimal placement for power supplies and IP PLink Injectors along the lengthy horizontal structure required careful planning. The pixel loop configuration demanded precise calibration to achieve seamless color transitions across the entire façade. Our team provided hands-on training covering system setup, pixel mapping techniques, and real-world troubleshooting to ensure the installation team could confidently handle every aspect of implementation.

Today, this sophisticated lighting system transforms the headquarters from a corporate building into a living landmark. Thousands of individually controlled pixels create everything from subtle color gradients to complex animated sequences. The seamless integration of DMX and SPI protocols delivers the flexibility to program content for national celebrations, seasonal themes, or corporate events—all with the reliability that government installations demand.
