Abu Dhabi’s skyline is no stranger to bold ideas and futuristic architecture—but the newly developed ADNEC Residences, by the powerhouse ADNEC Group, have introduced a striking visual element that’s hard to miss.

Nestled in the Capital Centre district—just a stone’s throw from the ADNEC exhibition halls—the twin-tower complex blends sleek modernism with thoughtful functionality, offering premium accommodation for professionals, exhibitors, and business travelers alike.

But it’s not just what’s inside that turns heads.

Wrapping around the three-storey podium parking level is a dramatic façade of square-framed windows that—thanks to our partners at LuxeLED—were transformed into a dynamic nighttime spectacle.

Tasked with elevating the structure’s exterior without overpowering the area’s aesthetics, LuxeLED brought ENTTEC into the fold to bring the façade to life with smart, synchronized lighting.

The challenge? Over 430 individual window frames needed to be illuminated, controlled, and choreographed—without compromising on system reliability or ease of use.

That’s where ENTTEC stepped in. We supplied a fully scalable and flexible lighting control ecosystem to tackle the complex layout. The setup included:

  • 45 x STORM 10 nodes for rock-solid DMX-over-Ethernet conversion
  • 2 PCs running ELM (ENTTEC LED Mapper) software to handle real-time pixel mapping
  • An S-PLAY SP-1 smart lighting controller for show playback and scheduling
  • PoE switches to keep the entire network clean, compact, and easily maintainable

Despite the scale, the system was designed to be plug-and-play friendly, with the ability to quickly troubleshoot or expand as needed—ensuring both visual impact and long-term operability.

What started as a grid of empty window frames quickly evolved into a bold architectural signature—one that now pulses with light, rhythm, and life each night in Abu Dhabi.

Because with the right tools and the right team, lighting isn’t just functional—it’s transformative.
